SHORT HISTORY

Romanian children, whose destiny was deprived of the protection of their own family, knew the drama of life in communist orphanages until 1989 and after that the tragedies of abandonment on the streets and in the canals of the country's cities.

Romanian post-communism was inaugurated by a wave of abortions, the prelude to a culture lacking respect for life

The new generations of children who did have the chance to emerge into this world were trapped in education systems that proved to be as precarious as the very society born of this irresponsible culture.

Schools in Romania have become a place of harmful ideological influences rather than the intellectual and spiritual space for the formation of characters and the acquisition of knowledge so necessary for the new society in formation.

The new pedagogy has given way to the hopelessness and lack of meaning in life that is slowly taking over the generations of Romanian teenagers.

I was together with Mihaela, my wife, witnessing all these pretenses, trying to help as much as we could, together with wonderful people from Christian communities and beyond, for the spiritual and emotional healing of some of our peers.

We believe that beyond all the misfortunes of this age hit by various ideologies, by pandemics and wars, there is still hope for a normal life in which we can enjoy faith and freedom, well-being and solidarity, education and knowledge, values based on teachings that they have proven beneficial to mankind throughout history.

The association "Together at School" is the expression of this enthusiasm in which today we want to embody hope, faith and love for and in the future of these young people.

We are grateful and thank  God and all those who believed and believe in this mission, the Christian organizations and charity people who supported and support our work and made possible our small achievements in the field of charity and education from the beginning of the 90s until today . Many of them have left us for a better world.

Special thanks to friends from Romania, U.K. and U.S.A. who get involved and continue to support our projects and who understood all the upheavals that Romania and we went through together with it in the last 30 years.
